Word from the Pastor
To God be the glory! The people He has brought together to form Trinity Baptist enjoy warm fellowship and have a common love for Jesus Christ, for the Word of God, and for the advance of the gospel.
We are passionate in our belief that solid, Biblical theology is necessary for salvation and Christian growth. Convinced of the value of knowing God through His Word, we regularly gather around the Scriptures to learn there more about Him and how we may glorify Him with our lives.
We believe a biblical church is one that is passionately God-oriented. In contrast to the latest theories endorsed by church growth movement, we don’t see numerical growth as our greatest responsibility. The mission of Trinity Baptist Fellowship is to glorify God by pursuing a growing relationship with Him, by reflecting His character in our lives, by serving one another, and by witnessing the gospel in our community. We greatly long to be like Christ, whose purpose was to fulfill His Father’s will (John 17:4).
Thanks for taking the time to look around our website. We hope you will make plans to visit us some Sunday soon. Expect a warm greeting and a friendly "Hello!" when you come! It will be great to meet you.
If you would like to learn more about having a relationship with God, we encourage you to listen to a recorded message from Ephesians 2:1-5 or John 3:16-21 (just click on the “archives” on the message page). The most encouraging news in Scripture is that God has made a way for sinners to be forgiven. The Bible mentions a “book of life” which contains the names of all people who have been delivered from the condemnation of sin and have received the gift of eternal life. That means you and I can be delivered from sin and have our relationship with God restored. There’s no need to face an eternity separated from God!
The way God delivers sinners from the condemnation of sin is by providing His own righteousness to them. One of the most hope-inspiring passages of Scripture concerning this wonderful truth is found in Romans 3:21-24:
- “But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”
Because of Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross, reconciliation with God is possible:
- “Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:18-21)
